Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church - Scope: Restoration
Hired by McNealy Construction Company, BT was tapped to assist with the structural retrofit work on the roof structure. Rather than demolishing the existing roof system, the choice was made to remove the original Gladding McBean tiles carefully, put them on pallets, and then reinstall them.
Because of the care called for, the roof work was done in sections. Once the interior walls of the building were retrofitted, BT braced the roof structure and then applied Self-Adhered Granulated Underlayment before reinstalling the original tiles. On some half-dome radius roofs, BT sprayed urethane foam before installing multiple layers of Rigid Recovery Boards, a new PVC membrane, and the tiles.
Victoria Mews - Scope: Replacement
Victoria Mews is an 18-building property spread across two city blocks in San Francisco. Each building offers a stately Victorian exterior, comfortable appointments within, and stunning views of the City from a rooftop deck. BT Roof was engaged in reroofing the 18 buildings on the property. Bigham Taylor began working at the site in 2009, tearing off and installing a pair of buildings at the corner of 19th Street and Wisconsin Street. Buildings down Carolina and 20th Street were completed this year.
